At Mountain Wood Crafts, every piece begins with a story… and for founder Bobby Dickson, that story started with a shelf and a TV stand built while in a college. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a lifelong passion for designing and building furniture that’s both functional and beautiful.

After college, Bobby joined a custom furniture builder and fell in love with the process: the grain of the wood, the precision of the joinery, and the satisfaction of turning raw materials into lasting pieces. Life took him to the Atlanta area, where he built a career in Human Resources, but the pull of the workshop never faded.

Working out of a narrow townhouse garage, Bobby began building again; first for his own home, then for friends and family. In 2022, he officially launched Mountain Wood Crafts to bring handcrafted furniture and cabinetry to a wider audience. From cherry dining tables to custom bathroom vanities, each project is rooted in craftsmanship, care, and a deep respect for the materials.
